Village Hall is situated on the northern outskirts of the village in Walnuts
Lane. It was built in 1928 after ten years of fund raising by the Women's
Institute.
Because the Hall is situated in a conservation area it has retained its original hut like exterior of galvanised cladding. By 1992 maintenance was becoming too costly so the WI offered the building to the village for community use. After much fund raising from activities and grants the Hall was refurbished internally with a new fitted kitchen and ladies and gents toilets all with disabled facilities. A further addition has recently been built which allows a more flexible use of the main hall This provides a storage area, the possibility of a bar, or a space for live music as well as a place for refreshments.
The Hall has charitable status and is looked after by a Management Committee with up to twelve members with additional representatives from other organisations in the village.

We currently have three vacancies on the committee; we would welcome any volunteers to join us but specifically would be keen to hear from anyone in Loudham or people with younger children – this will help us gain a better representation of the needs of the village.
More still needs to be done to the building and to this end fundraising is ongoing. Quiz Nights, Pub Games, Social Evenings, Barbeques, Treasure Hunts and Film Archive Evenings are some of the activities held for this purpose.
Funds are also derived from a 100 Club where half the income generated is given back to three lucky members every month. Members pay £1 per month, but the amount of prize money is dependent on the number of members.
